Since the establishment in 1981, Companhia de Telecomuniçães de Macau S.A.R.L.(CTM), is committed to providing the Macau community with sophisticated telecom services. From a telecom company providing merely fixed telephony and telex service in the past, then develop into a leading telecom service provider. Today, CTM offers a diversify range of telecom service as fixed line, mobile, Internet, and business solutions, connecting Macau to all parts of the world.
We are proud of our development during the past 26 years. No matter for fixed line, international direct-dial service, mobile service, Internet services, to the third generation mobile service launched in 2007, we have been taking the lead in the progression of telecommunications in Macau.
Entering the 21st century, the liberalization of the gaming industry in Macau has lead the enclave to undergo a tremendous transformation, as well as bringing new challenges and opportunities to CTM. In 2006, we have established the blueprint for the development of “Digital Macau” Project and will invest MOP1 billion.to shape Macao into a digital city which involves building a next generation Internet based IP core network, integrating mobile, broadband, high-speed data services and applications to enable government, enterprises, businesses and local residents to enjoy world-classs communications services anytime, anywhere. The development will help Macau to build into an integrated digital city and enhance the quality of life of residents and an environment for conducting business.
With the extensive experience in telecom operations, I am confident that CTM will remain committed to the Macau Community and will strive for customer excellence to guarantee top-level telecom service for every residents in Macau.
