To support and participate in the Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau In-depth Cooperation Zone,  under the long established basis of collaboration  in network infrastructure and application solutions, CTM and Huawei extend the collaboration in the areas of cloud service and smart city, riding on the advanced infrastructure of 5G and Cloud Hub, empowering the development and construction of Macau smart city, and facilitating all sectors in Macau to participate in the development of Greater Bay Area and In-depth Cooperation Zone. Meantime, with the basis of “3 Networks 3 Centres and 1 Cloud Platform”, CTM unveils the Cloud Network Convergence development blueprint of “Digital Macau”, adhering to the mission of injecting new impetus into all sectors in Macau for achieving smart transformation.

 

Today (Dec 2), the “CTM x Huawei Cloud Strategic Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony and Launching of Cloud Platform” was held at the occasion of BEYOND Expo. Officiating guests included Ms. Lau Wei Meng, Director of CTT, Mr. Li Wei, officer of Economic Affairs Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau S.A.R, Mr. Kevin Ho, Macau deputies to the National People's Congress, Mr. Chan Ka Leong, Member of the Executive Council of Macau, Mr. Huang XianJun, Vice president of ICBC Macau, Vandy Poon, Chief Executive Officer of CTM, Ebel Cham, VP of Commercial of CTM and Mr. Kang Ning, President of Global Cloud Ecosystem of Huawei.

 

 

 

Ebel Cham said, “The long term collaboration between CTM and Huawei not only involved network infrastructure, but also included Internet and mobile network facilities, as well as application solutions of different aspects. The joint efforts from both parties have laid an important foundation in Macau to accelerate smart city development and striving to achieve "Internet of everything" in the new era. We will join hands to extend cooperation in a broader horizon in exploring cloud services and smart city construction.

 

Ebel Cham indicated that both parties have rich experiences in the field of technology and smart city construction for years, with the advantages of the integration of CTM 5G network and multi-architecture cloud platform, a new development blueprint of "Digital Macau" has launched, facilitating the smart transformation in all sectors of Macau which will play an important role in developing the smart city clusters in the GBA and the construction of the Hengqin In-Depth Cooperation Zone.  CTM remains committed to invest and participate fully in the development of the integration construction of Hengqin and Macau

An array of smart application solutions based on 5G Cloud Network Convergence are exhibited at Beyond Expo, including IoT applications  of smart city governance, smart security, smart education, 5G Internet of Vehicles, as well as 5G+ cloud content platform and etc.
