At 5:30PM yesterday (30 Aug), due to the drilling work conducted at a building redevelopment construction site at Travessa do Roquete in Central District, an underground major communications cable chamber was damaged, resulting different levels of telecom service interruption.

Following onsite inspection by the technical team, it was discovered that the cables were seriously damaged, CTM arranged over 30 technicians for onsite repair work, and over 20 technicians stood by to provide logistical support.

After nearly 12 hours of rush repairs, 90% of the repair work has now been completed, CTM will strive to have the affected service resumed by 31 Aug.
