2.       Competition will be conducted in two categories

1.            Generative AI Creativity Competition

Generative AI Creativity Competition

l   Limited to individual entries from primary students (can include mentor teacher)

Create a piece inspired by your vision of a "Digital Macau" 10 Gigabit Smart City using AI platform, the artwork can be in one of the following formats:

l   A single flat image not exceeding A3 size;

l   A four-panel comic not exceeding A3 size;

l   A short video up to one minute in length.

 

The content should express the following themes:

l   An ideal vision of a 10 Gigabit Macau Smart City;

l   An environment that integrates cutting-edge ICT technologies;

l   Connecting people and objects with technologies.

 

2.           InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition

InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition

l   Secondary School Groups

l   Students may participate individually or in teams of no more than four members (not including the mentor teacher)

 

l   University and Open Groups

l   Students may participate individually or in teams of no more than four members (not including the mentor teacher)

l   Each team must include at least one university student

Create a smart application that utilizes AI and Big Data technology to optimize development potential or address existing pain points within any of the following industries. You may also incorporate other information and communication technologies, such as 5.5G mobile networks and cloud platforms.

 

Integrated Tourism and Leisure Industry

l   Demand and pricing forecasting, personalized experiences management, travel safety and risk management, marketing and demand analysis, logistics and transportation optimization, etc.

 

Big Health Industry

l   Personalized diagnosis and treatment, drug development, health management and monitoring, medical analytics assistance, etc.

 

Modern Finance Industry

l   Risk management, service efficiency and quality, investment management, credit assessment, fraud detection, customer service, etc.

 

MICE, Trade, Culture and Sports Industries

l   Process optimization, risk management, sports performance analysis, etc.

 

Education Industry

l   Improve learning experiences, enhancing teaching efficiency and quality, learning assessment, personalized tutoring, etc.

 

Low-Carbon Green Living

l   Improving energy efficiency, consumer behavior analysis, resource recycling and waste management, etc.

 

Others

l   Applications in smart living, business and e-governance, etc.

Generative AI Creativity Competition

All Macau residents attending primary schools in Macau are eligible to participate

InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition

All Macau resident studying in secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Macau, as well as interested Macau residents (for university and open groups only) are eligible to participate

Remark: Participants or groups cannot team up or register more than once

Organizer will select the final ten proposals from the submitted entries, which will compete in the final evaluation on March 13, 2026, for the first prize, second prize and third prize.

 

Judging Panel

The judging panel consists of Chair Judge, Special Invited Judges and Professional Judges.

Originality

The creative contribution of the entry must be conceived and completed by the participant/team. The participant/team must participate in the production of the entry.

Technical Aspect

Entries should effectively leverage the technical capabilities of generative AI technology

Composition & Aesthetics

Overall artistic quality and visual impact of the entries

Completion Level

InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition

Innovativeness

30%

The proposed concept that is innovative or uniquely creative, aimed at solving or improving existing production or living challenges in Macau. The concept should also highlight how the proposed solution differs from established industry practices. The creative contributions must be conceived and completed by the participants themselves, who must also be actively involved in the creation of the project.

Technical Aspects

30%

The proposed concept shall effectively utilize the characteristics of AI or generative AI applications and should demonstrate the integration of big data, data analysis, innovative technologies, and elements of information and communication technology (ICT) within the proposed application area.

Data Compliance

20%

Participant/ team shall ensure that the data handling and usage in the entries are in compliance with Macau's Personal Data Protection Act and the Security Assessment Measures for Data Export. This includes adherence to regulations regarding the lawful collection, storage, and use of data, as well as implementing management measures to protect personal information rights. Participant/team shall establish data security safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or deletion of data.

Applicability

10%

The proposed concept shall meet the needs of the practical and smart application scenarios in Macau, solves or alleviates the inconvenience faced by all walks of life and people's livelihood in Macau, and improves the development opportunities and quality of life.

Concept Demonstration

10%

The clarity and vivacity of participant/team present the concept to the jury through presentations, videos, etc., allowing the audience to have a better understanding on the proposed concept more easily.

 

7.           Important Information

1.       Each applicant/team must apply via the event official website; eligible applicant/team will receive email confirmation from CTM.

2.       Each applicant/team in the “InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition” must submit their concept proposals on time in PPT format. The proposal should clearly outline the application content, technologies and end devices utilized, scope of application, target users, expected benefits, unique optimization features, budget and other essential details for qualification approval. If a prototype is available, a supplementary video of no longer than one minute may be included.

3.       CTM will provide basic training courses for designated AI platform to the finalists.

4.       Participants/ teams must retain their competition entries and original documents (engineering files), including but not limited to screenshots of the AI platform in use, exported results, testing results and other relevant materials for evaluation reference.

5.       CTM will provide research and development subsidy to the finalists of the “InnovativeCreative AI+ Big Data Smart Solutions Competition” on a reimbursement basis with a limit of MOP 5,000 per team.

6.       All submitted entries are copyrighted by CTM during the competition period.

7.       The winners will jointly own the copyright of the works with CTM. A partnership will be established where appropriate to jointly operate, promote and develop business opportunities for the winning works.

8.       Each applicant/ team may not submit more than one entry

9.       Submitted entries must be original, never release to the public, not commercially available, and have not participated in any other public competitions, which shall not infringe any copyright or intellectual property rights.

10.   Provided that the applicants/ teams are the original creators of their works, they may revise and improve their concepts and submit new version of their works that were used in competitions within the past year (from June 2024 to August 2025).

11.   If any commercial application, software or hardware is implemented in the entry, finalists should take the initiative to indicate and cite the source.

 

 

8.           Terms & Conditions

1.           The finalists may be deemed relinquishment of the award in the event of not attending the judging presentation organized by organizers.

2.           In the event of any dispute in regard to the result and award, the decision of the judging panel shall be final.

3.           CTM reserve the right to demonstrate, promote, distribution, exhibition of submitted works, works submitted will not be returned to the participants.

4.        CTM staff members are not eligible to participate in the competition.

5.         CTM reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions. The decision of judges for the result and all matters related to the competition shall be final.

6.         By submitting the application, participants agree to the above terms and conditions.

7.         Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

8.         According to the "Law No. 5/2012 amending Decree No. 43/99/M of August 16 – 'The Copyright and Related Rights System'", all entries are prohibited from any acts of plagiarism. If any such actions are discovered, the entries will be disqualified and any awards or prizes will be revoked.

9.         All content of the entries must be healthy, non-pornographic, non-violence, and must in no violation with the relevant laws of Macau
