CTM is committed to continuously innovate and enhance the quality and safety of its services as a smart city service provider, starting in this February, CTM initiated an expansion of ISO/IEC 27001 certification to encompass a broader range of areas from traditional network services to smart transformation services. Over 300 employees from eight departments, including IT, network services, commercial, marketing, customer services provision, and digital innovation, collaborated closely to successfully pass the audit in November. This achievement positions CTM, as a telecom company in Macau with the broadest and most comprehensive scope of ISO/IEC 27001 Certification in Information Security Management Systems, setting a new industry standard and consistently exemplifying the role as Network Gate Keeper.
On 12th November, under the witness of colleagues from various departments participating in this certification expansion, Mr. Raymond Lui, Director of Enterprise Solutions & Marketing of British Standards Institution (BSI), presented the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 unified scope certificate to CTM, which received by Mr. Thomas Ng, Vice President of Network Services, and Mr. Komix Hui, IT Director of CTM. Mr. Raymond Lui said that, CTM once again leads the telecom industry in Macau, being the company with the deepest and most extensive ISO/IEC 27001 certification scope in the industry, and one of the first in Macau to adopt the latest version of the standard. The certification scope of the CTM's Information Security Management System has expanded from network and service areas to the departments related to smart application services, laying a stronger security foundation for CTM in advancing Macau’s smart city development.
