4G service fulfils individual users' needs CTM continuous to invest in 5G for industrial smart transformation

CTM has always seen investing and developing Macau as its mission, through consistently enhance network services and introduce diversified smart applications for the benefits of a solid telecom and information technology foundation cater for residents and various industries in Macau, as well as to lead the development of local telecom industry. A local institution released an assessment report against Macau 4G mobile service recently, revealed that the overall 4G mobile service in Macau is equipped with stable bandwidth and speed, and is capable to fulfil the general needs of individual users.

 

According to the latest report of “Performance Indicators of the Mobile Service” released by CTT, the download speed of CTM’s 4G service from the 1st to 4th quarter in 2022 has reached 110.2Mbps, 169.6Mbps, 156.5Mbps and 139.3Mbps respectively,  whereas 4G upload speed has reached 41.4Mbps, 49.3Mbps, 47.7Mbps and 47.6Mbps respectively.

 

Recently, a report released by the Macau Polytechnic University, “Macao Mobile Network Test Report – Network Performance and User Experience”, show the assessment result of 4G signal coverage, general speed and user experience of four mobile operators in Macau. The report stated that, “the overall mobile network performance in Macau is capable to fulfil the general needs of individual users, the result disclosed that there are difference between the network coverage level of each operator”, “combining subjective and objective result, found that that objective result of level of network coverage and the indicator of upload and download speed, have direct connection to users’ subjective experiences”.

 

According to CTM, the reports have reflected the current situation of local mobile telecom market, and highlighted CTM’s achievements and commitment on striving to provide high-quality of telecom service to its customers. CTM is committed to further enhance its 5G services for building a world class network infrastructure foundation, as to support the expansion of IoT and smart city development, and to facilitate various industries in Macau to push forward the smart transformation and smart city development.
