CTM was notified by the SEA-ME-WE3 (SMW3) Administrator that, power reconfiguration and system upgrade will take place between 18 and 22 Oct, at a section of the SMW3 submarine cable located near Singapore.

Meantime, CTM has deployed a series of contingency measures including 24-hour network monitoring; timely allocation of bandwidth resources to re-route the data transmission via other telecommunication network to offload and divert the data traffic so as to ensure the overall operation of Internet services. During the aforesaid period, the overall Internet service will not be affected, but during peak hours (7pm to 1am), customers may experience slight decrease of Internet speed when watching online HD movie.

CTM will make every effort to mobilize the resources to ensure the overall performance of Internet services.
