Aiming to prevent the spread of the pandemic as soon as possible due to the pandemic development in Macau, Macau's Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center implemented the measure of partition-specific, level-specific precise prevention and control plan, which adopts closure and control measures for the Red Code Zones (prevention and control zone), implementing the fully restricted closed management for the 3 buildings, included Edf. Mei Lin, Edf. Fai Son, Edf. Kian On, also the Edf. Weng Fai, Rua da Emenda and the merchants and buildings on both sides from Rua De Tomé Pires to Avenida de Horta e Costa.

Understanding that merchants and residents in the red code zone are affected by the impact of work and life in assorting with the prevention and control of the pandemic, CTM announced that the fixed-line and Internet service tariffs of August in the Red Code Zone will be waived, and the measure does not require customers to apply separately.

CTM expects that through this temporary measure, the merchants and residents in the red code zone can learn, work and play through the Internet during the quarantine period, and work together with all Macau's residents to against the pandemic. CTM also wishes that the pandemic will end earlier under joint resistance of all Macau's residents.
