Be united with Macau to combat the pandemic CTM launches an array of anti-pandemic offers

With the current pandemic situation in Macau, CTM actively cooperates with the MSAR Government of its pandemic control measures. In order to support the enterprises and residents for network services when they work or study from home, CTM announced the launch of “Anti-pandemic offers”, covering mobile, Internet entertainment content services, as well as setting up a dedicated anti-pandemic section in “Macau Goodhands” platform. Customers are encourged to use CTM Buddy Mobile App or CTM online portal for service detail and subscription.

 

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in mid June, CTM actively cooperates with the MSAR Government on pandemic control and prevention, and immediately activated the contingency mechanism which included allocating sufficient network and human resources to ensure the non-interruptted operation of network services. Meantime, in response to the Government’s appeal to reduce people’s flow, shop services, installation and onsite maintenance were suspended, 3 CTM shops were allocated to provide emergency retail services by appointment. In the past 7 days,  around 1000 calls were received by the 3 shops, amongst which over 50% of the cases were solved over phone assistance or local courier service, including new service subscription, SIM card replacement, and etc.

 

CTM encourages customers to use CTM Buddy Mobile App or CTM online portal for service subscription, at the same time, telecom services will not be suspended due to overdue payment of bills. For customers who wanted to process bill payment, they can access CTM Buddy Mobile App or online platform.

 

Aside of adjusting operations, CTM has been paying close attention to the needs of important facilities in the community including emergency network service support to the Government’s essential facilities for pandemic prevention and control, increased network equipment and capacity for institutions under close-loop management, enhanced monitoring on Peng On Tung service to ensure users’ need on emergency calls, provided telecom service supports to the residents in need within the close monitoring district, enhanced monitoring on TV signal sources and signal transmission to ensuring non-interrupted provision of information. Meanwhile, CTM has continuously implemented the special measure of #128# waiver of mobile data usage when using Macau Health Code App, to support elderlies when they travel.

 

As a locally rooted telecom operator, during this critical time in combating the pandemic, CTM spares no efforts in ensuring the stable provision of overall network services, while paying close attention to customers’ needs on different telecom services.
