5.5G+AI Shaping the Future Development of Telecommunications Industry CTM's Commitment to focusing on AI development and bring Innovative Applications

 

 

This year's Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) has brought together over 2,700 technology and innovation companies from around the globe. To gain insights into the latest trends in mobile communications and strengthen business partnerships, during the event, Mr. Vandy Poon, CEO, CTM, led a delegation to Barcelona to visit the exhibition and participated in several industry seminars, in which Vandy shared his insights on applications of "5.5G + AI" and discussed Macau's experience in digital development.

 

The Mobile World Congress was held on Mar 3 - 6 local time, revolved around the theme Converge, Connect, Create,” attracting over 2,700 technology and innovative enterprises from around the world, including more than 300 from China. Integration of AI with new telecommunications technologies and AI-driven digital transformation became the key highlights of this conference.

 

During the occasion, Mr. Vandy Poon, CEO, CTM, led a delegation to participate in several key events, including the “5G-A Industry Development Summit” and the “UBB Roundtable” organized by Huawei, the “Green All-Optical Network Forum” hosted by IDATE DigiWorld, Europe’s leading digital economy think tank, and the thematic forum on “Building an Integrated, Inclusive, and Green AI Computing Power Ecosystem” organized by the World Internet Conference. In addition, they attended the “Autonomous Network for Future” co-hosted by Networld Europe and the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA). At this seminar, Vandy shared CTM's experience in advancing the development of “Digital Macau” as a smart city, while addressing industry concerns regarding the integration of “5.5G + AI”, AI-enabled terminal equipment, and the promotion of digital transformation within the sector.

 

Vandy stated that from the exchanges he participated in and the various new applications showcased at the exhibition, it is clear that the future development of the mobile industry will be deeply intertwined with AI. Both network service operators and technology companies have high expectations for AI-enabled advancements. The discussions at the conference provided significant insights to CTM team, they hope to soon introduce more cutting-edge technologies and application solutions that align with the needs of Macau's development.

 

In the future, CTM will continue to stay up-to-date on industry trends and amplify its investment in developing applications that integrate 5.5G and AI, in order to deliver innovative smart transformation solutions to both the public and the industry.
