In view of the latest changes in local telecom development, CTM announces the return of its 3G spectrum to the Macau SAR Government, (effective for 00:00 on June 2025). CTM urges citizens to pay attention to relevant information and update their devices promptly to ensure stable and seamless communication services after the phase out of 3G network.

 

CTM reported that they have proactively reached out to users whose devices do not support Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) and encourage them to upgrade their handsets and update their settings promptly. This information is being communicated through various channels, including phone calls, SMS, and social media platforms. In addition, CTM customers can check if their devices support the VoLTE function by dialing “#183#” on their mobile phones.

 

To raise awareness about the phase out of 3G network, CTM Volunteer Team has organized over 25 sharing sessions at community centers across various districts since February. These sessions have provided mobile network tips and essential information about the phase out of 3G network, to near 1,000 citizens. During the sessions, CTM Volunteer Team members also assisted those in needs to upgrade their mobile phone settings and check their devices to prevent disruptions in voice call services due to the phase out of 3G network.

 

Meanwhile, CTM introduces a 5G service upgrade offer to assist citizens in upgrading their devices and services. Customers can enjoy 5G data usage in three destinations with a monthly subscription starting as low as $43 and an additional offer of $0 on handset device for designated service subscription.
