As a locally rooted telecom operators serving Macau for over 4 decades, CTM has been firmly fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Since the outbreak of pandemic, CTM has fully supported and complied with the preventive measures as implemented by the Macau SAR Government to secure the health of staff and customers. Along wih the rollout of the Macau Health Code APP and venue code by the Macau SAR Government, CTM proactively responded and encouraged the voluntary participation of staff and customers.

Addressing the concern of customers about mobile data consumption for scanning the venue code, as well as to precisely supporting and safeguarding the epidemic prevention work, CTM announced that with effect from 1 February, CTM mobile service customers (prepaid and postpost) simply dial #128# for one-time registration will enjoy waiver of data usage when using Macau Health Code APP to apply health code and scan venue code. Registration only need to be done once for activation and no need to apply repeatedly, Waiver of data usage will be effective within 15 minutes following successful registration

CTM envisaged that the abovementioned special measure could help popularize the using of venue code and contribute impetus for the precise preventive measures against the epidemic.
