CTM and iSSTECH co-signed MOU for comprehensive strategic collaboration to create more intelligent application scenarios in Macau and GBA smart city cluster

In order to jointly explore and participate in Macau and Greater Bay Area smart cities cluster development, CTM and iSSTECH -- a leading city data smart service provider in China, co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding for “Comprehensive Strategic Collaboration of GBA Smart City Construction and Services”. Both parties will unleash the advantages in each field to create more one-stop solutions for Macau and GBA smart city cluster covering areas of zero carbon city construction, digital government, smart environmental protection, water affairs, smart industrial park, smart neighborhood and etc., with mutual objective  of promoting the GBA smart city cluster as a leading model within the Country.

 

The Signing Ceremony was held today (20 October) morning at the 28th Macau International Trade and Investment Fair. Witnessed by Zhang Feng, Deputy Director of State-owned Assets Supervision and Management Commission of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Wong Kit Cheng, Member of Macau CPPCC Committee, Member of Macau Legislative Assembly, Derby Lau, Director of CTT, Hou Zhenkun, deputy director assistant of the Economic Department of the China Liaison Office in Macau, Yan Yuangang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Zhuhai CPPCC Committee and President of Macao Zhuhai Association of CPPCC Members, Li Quan, Head of Board Affairs Division of State-owned Assets Supervision and Management Commission of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Vong Vai Lon, Executive member of the Administrative Committee of IPIM, Gao Tianliang, President of SDG and acting Chairman of iSSTECH, Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM and Feng Yong, CEO of iSSTECH, the MOU was co-signed by Eunice Cheang, Strategic Programs Vice President of CTM and Li Jing, COO of iSSTECH.

 

Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM said that, as a member of the CITIC Group, CTM proudly undertakes the responsibility as being one of the main forces of information technology development in the CITICTel Group. With the vision of constructing the “Digital Macau”, CTM has been greatly supported by its major shareholder – CITIC Telecom International Group, to consistently investing in infrastructure and services to carry forward the development pace of Macau smart city with various stakeholders. Meantime, CTM actively cooperates with industry pioneers to enrich the smart ecology in Macau and within the GBA. The comprehensive collaboration between CTM and iSSTECH –a subsidiary of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Development Group Co. Ltd., with rich experience in smart city solutions research from iSSTECH, i the collaboration  will inject more forces into the development of Macau and GBA smart city cluster, further accelerate the integration of Macau within the GBA.

CTM will continuous to push forward the pace of “Digital Macau” smart city development through initiate research and collaborations and actively participate in the integration of GBA and the Hengqin In-Depth Cooperation Zone, in order to create more high quality and convenient smart living applications and scenarios for residents in both Macau and GBA.
