Terms and conditions for CTM Bonus Points Reward Scheme

This terms and conditions for “CTM Bonus Points Reward Scheme” (hereafter referred to as “T&C”) govern the provision of “CTM Bonus Points Reward Scheme” by CTM to the Customer. In addition to this T&C, the Customer shall be bound by any other applicable terms and conditions for specified products and services provided by CTM, including the "CTM eServices TERMS AND CONDITIONS", "Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)" and "Fair Usage policy (FUP)". For more detail, please refer to www.ctm.net.

 

1.      Definition and Interpretation

1.1  Unless otherwise specified, the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings in this T&Cs:

CTM Buddyshall mean the mobile application owned by CTM.

Giftshall mean the designated products or services provided by CTM for the Customer to redeem or purchase with the bonus points, including the CTM’s physical gifts, Merchant’s eVouchers, monthly fee account credit and value added services;

Merchantshall mean the cooperative merchants participating in “CTM Bonus Points Reward Scheme” for the Customer to redeem or purchase with the services or products provided by them with the bonus points;

Bonus Points Accountshall mean the account owned by the Customer due to the subscribed service or registration for the Customer to accrue the bonus points. The Bonus Point Account includes the mobile bonus points pool, Internet bonus points pool, fixed-line Bonus points pool and basic bonus points pool.

1.2  Headings or titles in this T&C are for ease of reference only and shall not be referred to or relied upon in the interpretation of any provision of this T&C.

1.3  Where the day on or by which something must be done by either party is not a business day, that thing shall be done on or by the following business day.

 

2.      Scope of application

2.1 The “CTM Bonus Points Reward Scheme” is applicable to:

        i.   The customers who have subscribed the Mobile Services, Internet Broadband Services, or Fixed-line Services in the personal/residential name, as well as the prepaid card customers who have completed the real name registration, except the customers who are defined as the customer of grade B, C or D under the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) service charge tariff approved by the governmental authority; and

       ii.         The individuals or entities that have registered for a Basic Bonus Points Account on the online channels such as CTM Buddy App or www.ctm.net.

 

Those referred to in (i) or (ii) above are collectively referred to as “Customer”.

 

3.      Basic Bonus Points User Account

3.1  Individuals or entities that wish to register the basic bonus points user account (“Basic Bonus Points Account”) shall provide the true, up-to-date and complete information for purpose of registration. Each username and contact number is limited to be registered once.

3.2  By registration, the Customer declares that he/she is over the age of 18 and fully capable of forming a legally binding contract.

3.3  Members of the “Buddy Club” and “no.1 Club” are not allowed to register for Basic Bonus Points Account.

 

4.      Method of Bonus Points Accumulation

4.1  The bonus points will be accrued in units of each Customer. The bonus points within the same service category under the same Customer will be automatically combined to the same points pool and accrued according to the following provisions:

4.1.1        The bonus points of mobile service will be accrued based on the settlement amount of monthly fee and the face value of the prepaid card top-up amount. Every single dollar spent, excluding the value spent on the products, can be converted to one bonus point (MOP$1 is equal to 1 point).

4.1.2        The bonus points of fixed-line service will be accrued based on the settlement amount of quarterly fee. Every single dollar spent, excluding the value spent on the products, can be converted to one bonus point (MOP$1 is equal to 1 point).

4.1.3        The bonus points of Internet broadband service will be accrued based on the settlement amount of monthly fee. Every single dollar spent, excluding the value spent on the products, can be converted to one bonus point (MOP$1 is equal to 1 point).

4.1.4        The Customer who purchases the designated CTM products (including the purchase with bonus points, standalone purchase and service bundling promotions, but excluding prepaid card e Top-up) will be awarded with bonus points. The relevant bonus points will be accrued according to the amount of the transaction. Every two dollars spent can be converted to one bonus point (MOP$2 is equal to 1 point), which will be automatically credited to one of the Customer’s valid bonus points pool, first credited to mobile bonus points pool, then Internet bonus points pool, fixed-line bonus points pool and finally basic bonus points pool. The rewarded bonus points will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. In the purchase of products with bonus points, CTM will award the bonus points only after the Customer has picked up the product, that is, the bonus points will be automatically credited to the related valid bonus points pool after the Customer has redeemed the designated CTM products and collected them at the CTM shops. When purchasing or collecting the designated CTM products, the Customer shall provide CTM staff with the information of Bonus Points Account for registration purpose. Otherwise, the bonus points will not be awarded. The Customer cannot request for the rebate of bonus points after the transaction is completed.

4.2  The Customers is allowed to accrue the bonus points for fifteen (15) months only and all the expired bonus points will be automatically forfeited and the Customer shall re-accumulate the bonus points. The Customer shall be responsible to manage their own Bonus Points Account either through the CTM Buddy, “CTM Online Service” (www.ctm.net), the service hotline: 1000 or visiting CTM shops. All the information of bonus points shall be subject to CTM’s records.

4.3 CTM is entitled to forfeit all the Customer’s accrued bonus points under the following circumstances and the Customer cannot redeem or purchase any Gift with the forfeited bonus points, nor collect any redeemed Gift:

            i.                If the accumulation of bonus points or application of redemption or purchase with bonus points has involved any fraud;

           ii.                If the Customer has committed breach of any applicable provisions of contract for mobile/ fixed-line/ Internet service;

          iii.                If the Customer has changed ID number of the subscribed service;

          iv.                If the Customer has cancelled all the subscribed mobile/ fixed-line/ Internet services.

In the case of items (iii) and (iv), the Customer shall redeem and collect the Gift before the change of relevant information or the cancellation of services.

4.4 CTM is entitled to terminate or suspend the Bonus Points Account at any time without prior notice if:

            i.                Any information provided by the Customer when applying for any service or registering a Basic Bonus Points Account is found to be untrue, not up-to-date or incomplete;

           ii.                There is any unauthorized use of the Bonus Points Account ; or

          iii.                The Customer has committed breach of this T&C.

 

5.      Redemption or Purchase With Bonus Points

5.1  The Customer may redeem or purchase with bonus point the designated products or services through CTM Buddy or CTM Shops in accordance with the following provisions:

5.1.1        CTM Physical Products:

           i.                If the Customer has redeemed or purchased the CTM physical products in CTM Buddy, then the Pick-up code and redemption reference number will be saved in the CTM Buddy. The Customer shall collect the physical products at designated CTM shop within the validity period by providing the pick-up code and redemption reference number. The expired pick-up code shall be automatically forfeited and the Customer cannot request to return the bonus points and/or refund the cash nor collect the redeemed Gift.

          ii.                All CTM physical products shall be collected by the Customer holding the Bonus Points Account at the designated CTM shop with the redemption reference number and pick-up code. If the Customer is unable to collect the physical products in person, he/she may authorize a representative by writing an authorization letter to collect the physical products on his/her behalf. The representative shall provide CTM with identification document of the Customer when collecting the physical products.

5.1.2        Merchant’s eVouchers (the “eVouchers”):

           i.                If the Customer has redeemed or purchased the eVouchers with bonus points, the eVouchers will be saved in the CTM Buddy. The Customer shall collect the designated product or service within the validity period of the eVouchers by providing the eVouchers to the Merchant. The expired eVouchers shall be automatically forfeited and the Customer cannot request to return the bonus points and/or refund the cash nor collect the redeemed Gift.

          ii.                When using the eVouchers, the Customer shall ensure that his/her mobile phone has being connected to the Internet and present the eVouchers with the CTM Buddy to the staff of Merchant for entering the verification code to void the eVouchers.

5.1.3        Monthly Fee Account Credit:

         i.                If the Customer has redeemed the monthly fee account credit with bonus points, the monthly fee account credit will be automatically credited to the Customer’s relevant service account in the next bill.

5.1.4        Value-added Services:

            i.                The value-added services will generally take effect on the same day of the redemption or purchase with bonus points.

        ii.            The value-added services which are not applicable to Customer’s existing services will not be available for redemption or purchase with bonus points. After the preferential period, the Customer shall be charged for the value-added services at the original price. If the Customer wishes to suspend or terminate the value-added services, please call the service hotline: 1000 or visit CTM shops to apply for the suspension or termination.

5.2  Upon acceptance of the redemption request, the required bonus points will be debited from the Bonus Points Account, the Customer cannot request to change or cancel the redemption request or the redeemed or purchased Gift for any reason, and neither return of bonus points nor refund of cash for any reason is accepted.

5.3  When collecting the Gift, the Customer shall maintain the Bonus Points Account valid. Otherwise, the Customer shall be deemed to give up to collect the relevant Gift. For avoidance of any doubt, if the Bonus Points Account has been terminated or suspended by CTM in accordance with Clause 4.4 of this T&C, the Bonus Points Account shall not be regarded as a valid account.

5.4  Each Gift shall be subject to the relevant terms and conditions and the maximum amount for the redemption. The Customer should read the relevant information carefully when applying for redemption or purchase with bonus points.

5.5  There is no reservation service for the Gift which is available while stocks last.

5.6  The Gift cannot be exchanged into cash. If the Gift is out of stock, the supplier or Merchant may replace the Gift with other items with the same function and value.

5.7  There is a no return service for the Gift. CTM makes no representation or guarantee to the quality of products and services provided by the suppliers and Merchant. The Customers shall check the Gift when collecting the Gift. If the Gift is found to be damaged or defected, the Customer shall immediately request the supplier or merchant to replace such Gift.

5.8  The Customer shall bear the risk of failure to collect the Gift due to the closure of the supplier or Merchant. CTM shall bear no responsibility or liability whatsoever with regards to any matters arising from or in connection with the failure of collection of the Gift. 

 

6.      Privacy

6.1  The Customer shall be responsible for the maintaining, protection and back-up of his/her personal data and the information of Bonus Points Account.

6.2  The Customer shall read and understand the “CTM Privacy Policy” and “Personal Data Collection & Processing Statement” in order to better protect his/her personal data. For more details, please refer to www.ctm.net.

 

7.      Others

7.1  CTM reserves the right to modify and add or delete any provisions of this T&C at any time without prior notice and any liability.

7.2  CTM reserves the right to make final decision in case of any differences or disputes.

7.3  This T&C shall be governed by the laws of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“Macao Special Administrative Region”), and the Customers agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the court of Macao Special Administrative Region.

7.4  In case of any inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions of this T&C, the Chinese version shall prevail.
