
The 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, held under the theme “Building an Open, Cooperative, Secure, and Inclusive Digital and Intelligent Future – Together for a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”, was held on 6th – 9th November. CTM was invited to the conference and engaged in meaningful discussions with representatives from the global internet industry on global development initiatives and the digital economy. During the occasion, CTM also presented their vision for the future of “AI Macau”.
Recently, Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM led a team to take part in the Wuzhen Summit. This year's edition, themed “Building an Open, Cooperative, Secure, and Inclusive Digital and Intelligent Future – Together for a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”, included an opening ceremony, main forum and 24 sub-forums on topics such as Global Development Initiative, digital economy, AI and data governance, AI-empowered scientific researches and digital preservation and transmission of cultural heritage. CTM representatives attended the opening ceremony, the main forum, the Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Internet Development Forum, the theoretical symposium marking the 10th Anniversary of the Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace Forum, along with a visit to the Internet of Light Expo themed “AI Symbiosis: Igniting the Future”.
Vandy Poon expressed that CTM has long been an active participant in the World Internet Conference, contributing to the effort to jointly build a community with a shared future in cyberspace. This year, CTM is honored to receive another invitation to convene in Wuzhen with global internet development representatives for in-depth discussions on topics such as the AI future and data governance. He highlighted that the rapid advancement of AI technology is driving the industry to accelerate the application and development of the “AI+” concept. The Internet of Light Expo showcased numerous applications that integrate AI technology. CTM is committed to staying at the forefront of AI innovations, introducing relevant digital applications to Macau, and promoting the development of “AI Macau”.
During the Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao Internet Development Forum held on the afternoon of the 8th November, Komix Hui, Vice President of Information Technology, CTM, was invited to speak on the topic of “Smart Development and Secure Cooperation”. He presented the vision for “AI Macau” and shared the company's achievements in cybersecurity and information security.
In addition, Thomas Ng, Vice President of Network Services, CTM, was invited to participate in the “Theoretical Symposium Marking the 10th Anniversary of the Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace Forum” held on the evening of 6th November. He engaged with other guests in discussions on the theme "Global Solidarity for New Development—Practices and Prospects for Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”.
As a senior member of the World Internet Conference, CTM will continue to actively collaborate with global internet development representatives to advance the ongoing practice of jointly building a community with a shared future in cyberspace.
