CTM “Dual 10-Gigabit Sports Venue” Solution and “AI Sports Experience for Community” Awarded Outstanding Cases of 15th National Games

On December 10, eight co-organizing units including the Organizing Committee of the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macau Studies, the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, co-hosted the “Research and Exhibition on Theoretical and Practical Topics for Coordinated Development of the 15th National Games and the National Paralympic Games” at the Guangzhou Sport University. During the exhibition, several research findings and case studies were presented. Among them, the “Dual 10-Gigabit Sports Venue” and the “AI Sports Experience for the Macau Community” from CTM were recognized as outstanding cases, it is the only selected case from Macau among all.

 

He Delong, Representative of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macau Studies, represented the organizing committee in presenting the overall results. He announced that the working group received a total of 653 research proposals, of which 95 were deemed outstanding. In the category of classic case submissions, more than 90 cases were received, with 30 evaluated as "Outstanding Cases." Notably, CTM’s “Dual 10-Gigabit Sports Venue” and “AI Sports Experience for the Macau Community” were the only entries from Macau selected as outstanding cases by the working group.

 

CTM team attended the event and received a certificate of excellence for Outstanding Cases by the Organizers. In one of the breakout sessions, the team shared their initiatives during the 15th National Games, which included deploying dual 10-gigabit network resources and technology across three sports venues managed by the Macau SAR Government. This infrastructure ensured reliable network support for events and similar scaled events, facilitating more smart scenarios and devices within the venues. CTM developed a comprehensive network security plan to support the games in Macau region, achieving impressive results with “0 incidents, 0 inquiries and 0 complaints” regarding network safety. In addition, to foster a community sports atmosphere, CTM partnered with social welfare organizations to host an “AI Sports Experience for the Macau Community”, encouraging residents to actively engage in promoting physical health and enhancing interest in the 15th National Games.

 

CTM stated that by leveraging its advanced dual 10-gigabit network infrastructure, the company plans to accelerate the realization of its “AI Macau” vision. This involves deploying AI and big data applications across different scenarios to help sectors in Macau expedite their smart transformation efforts.
