By simply connecting to Wi-Fi or a mobile data network, you can use your original CTM mobile number—whether you are in Macau or overseas—to enjoy preferential communication rates and significantly reduce international roaming call expenses.

App Operation Process:

1.    After applying for the service via CTM’s offline or online channels, you will receive a confirmation SMS on your mobile number indicating that the "Roam-to-Talk" service has been successfully activated.

2.    Click the link provided in the SMS to download and install the CTM Buddy App.

3.    Open the CTM Buddy App and enter the "Roam-to-Talk" service section.

4.    Complete the login process using your mobile number. Once logged in successfully, the service is ready to use.

Terms & Conditions for " Roam-to-Talk " Service

1.    These Terms and Conditions apply to the "Roam-to-Talk" service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). Before using the Service, users must read and accept the "CTM Buddy" App Terms & Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "App Terms"). The Service is governed by these Terms and the App Terms. In the event of any conflict, these Terms shall prevail with respect to matters related to the Service.

2.    The Service is available only to CTM Mobile Monthly Plan customers who have activated "International Roaming Service" and "Supplementary Service - Call Forwarding".

3.    When using the Service, the method of receiving calls will be affected by your "Call Forwarding" settings as detailed below:

4.    After successfully applying for or canceling this Service, users will receive a confirmation SMS. SMS delivery may be delayed due to network conditions. The content of the SMS is for reference only; all service statuses are subject to CTM’s system records.

5.    This Service operates on a prepaid basis and is non-refundable. Taking the "15-Day Roaming Talk" as an example, the validity period begins upon successful application and ends at 23:59:59 on the 15th day. Upon expiration, the service will automatically terminate and will not be automatically renewed. The system will send an SMS notification at that time; if you wish to continue using the Service, please reapply.

6.    The Service is provided via VoIP technology and requires a connection to Wi-Fi or a mobile data network for usage. Using mobile data overseas to connect to the Service will consume roaming data and may incur additional roaming charges. Due to third-party network and device factors, CTM does not guarantee call quality and is not liable for call delays or interruptions. Certain countries, regions, or network providers may restrict or block VoIP services. CTM is not responsible for the inability to use the Service due to local network restrictions.

7.    For security authentication purposes, users must use a mobile data network to verify their identity when logging in to this service for the first time or upon re-login. Once successfully logged in, users may switch to other networks (such as Wi-Fi) to continue using the Service.

8.    After logging in to this Service, the user’s voice calls will be conducted via Roam-to-Talk. Upon logging out, calls will automatically revert to the standard mobile network. If the Service is cancelled, the system will automatically log out the user account, and the user will no longer able to make calls through this Service.

9.    Each CTM Mobile number can only be used to log in to this Service on one device at a time. If a user logs in on a new device, the system will automatically log out the account on the original device.

10.    The Service requires access to specific permissions on the user’s device (such as the microphone, contacts, notifications, and background data processing). Users can manage these permissions in their device settings. Denying these permissions will result in the inability to make or receive calls and other related functions becoming unavailable.

11.    Call history (including outgoing, incoming, and missed calls) is stored exclusively within the CTM Buddy App on the user's device. If the user uninstall the App, clears app data, or changes devices, the relevant records will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. CTM assumes no responsibility for any data loss.

12.    If a user subscribes to this Service and the eSIM "One Number Sharing" Service for smartwatches, the smartwatch will be unable to receive calls while logging into Roam-to-Talk service. Although the smartwatch can make calls independently, such calls will be charged at standard rates and are not eligible for Roam-to-Talk voice call offer.

13.    The charges for this Service apply only to voice calls made and received through this App. Please refer to the CTM website or relevant service contracts for specific billing details.

14.    The Service includes a built-in "Travel Emergency Hotline" for user to seek assistance. Related information will be updated from time to time. Since all calls made through this service are treated as originating from Macau, CTM does not guarantee successful connection to local short codes or special numbers (such as emergency service numbers) overseas. This service cannot replace traditional mobile phone services for emergency assistance. In the event of an emergency, users must switch to a local mobile network or landline and directly dial the local emergency number (such as 999, 112, etc.). CTM assumes no liability for any losses resulting from the inability to contact emergency services through this service.

15.    This application and its related services do not support mobile devices manufactured for the domestic market, including but not limited to brands such as Xiaomi, Honor, vivo, and OPPO. If your device does not meet the system requirements, the application may not function properly or some features may be unavailable.

16.    If a customer cancels or requests a suspension of their mobile service, or if the service is suspended or terminated due to overdue payments, this service will simultaneously be stopped or terminated (for suspension due to overdue payments, users must settle the outstanding balance and log in again). If changing their mobile number, users must manually clear the call forwarding service via CTM Buddy or via USSD code, and then log in again using the new number to continue using the service.

17.    The application and its related services are not supported on mobile devices released in Mainland China (including, but not limited to, Xiaomi, Honor, VIVO, and OPPO). If your device does not meet the system requirements, the application may fail to run properly or may not be able to provide certain features.

18.    CTM reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time and will notify users in advance through reasonable means, such as announcements within the App, push notifications, or website updates. If a user does not accept the modification, they may cancel the Service prior to the effective date; continued use after the modification take effect shall be deemed acceptance of such changes.

19.    These App Terms are governed by the laws of the Macau Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Macau.

20.    All prices are in MOP.

21.    The Service is subject to CTM’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

22.    The above offers and services are also subject to relevant general terms of service.
