CTM is committed to promoting the 5G network construction, the popularization of 5G applications and the development of Smart City. In order to enhance the knowledge of 5G technology to the youngsters, CTM visited Sacred Heart Canossian College (English Section) on Dec 16, to share with the students of Science Club about 5G technology, also brought the VR education application that riding on 5G network for their experience.

 

 

 

The briefing started with the Director of Corporate Communications, Eliza Chan’s introduction of the 5G construction progress, 5G application scenarios and the construction of Smart City, which enhanced the students’ knowledge about 5G applications and the development of Macau smart city. Following the introduction, Hudson Lou from Network Services shared with the students of the 5G technology and the challenges of network construction in Macau, which enabling students to brainstorm how could 5G technology apply in various life scenarios.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the briefing, CTM prepared 5G applications, including 5G+VR AI Education and 5G Reading Experience, the students could enjoy the 5G interactive experience by themselves. The students from SHCCES Science Club had participated in the “2020 Macau Science Video Competition” and invited CTM representatives to share the information about local 5G development and technology, the final video was awarded the 1st runner-up of the Competition. CTM envisaged to inspiring more local students to unleash their creative in technology development and popularization, so as to encourage more local talents to join the telecom and information technology industry, to facilitate the development of Smart City in Macau.
